How MHTx can help

One careful signature at a time.

Our Notaries verify identity, witness willing signatures, complete the proper notarial act selected by the signer or document issuer, and maintain the required record.

01

Bexar County

Careful, in-person notarizations at homes, offices, hospitals, hospice settings, care facilities, jails, and detention centers.

02

Secure two-way audio/video notarization through Proof (Notarize) or BlueNotary, subject to document and identity eligibility.

03

Texas statewide

Notary signing agent

NNA-certified signing support for real estate and lending documents. Assignments and fees are coordinated separately with the title, escrow, or lending company—not through the consumer booking form.

Affiliations & qualifications

Professional preparation you can verify.

Current MHTx Notaries maintain professional memberships, platform training, background screening, and signing-agent certification. Individual credentials are available upon request.

Healthcare, hospice & end-of-life

Compassion and dignity in sensitive moments.

MHTx Notaries specialize in healthcare documentation. Every patient-signer must be coherent, understand the nature and effect of signing, act willingly, and be free of coercion or duress. A private screening may be conducted. If the signer does not pass, the session ends at the Notary Public's sole discretion. That decision is final and non-negotiable.

* Compassionate fee policy: For an urgent, after-hours, overnight, same-day end-of-life signing, MHTx waives travel, urgency, location, and other service charges. Only applicable Texas statutory notarial fees, if any, remain.

* Recent-loss policy: Wills, estates, and property documents concerning a person who died within the prior 30 days receive the same waiver when scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. If the intended signer dies before service, deposits are returned to the payer or legally authorized recipient after written request and reasonable verification, subject to applicable law.

Prepare for your appointment

Identity, witnesses & document readiness

Identification and document eligibility are determined at the appointment. Do not send copies of identification, medical records, financial data, or complete documents through the booking email.

01

Acceptable signer ID

An unexpired identification credential issued by the U.S. federal government or a U.S. state, containing the signer's photograph and signature.

  • State driver license
  • Official state identification card
  • U.S. passport
  • Permanent resident card
  • Qualifying U.S. military ID

A foreign passport may be used only in the limited Texas residential real-estate circumstance allowed by law. Names should reasonably match the document.

02

Credible witness

When a signer lacks acceptable ID and cannot reasonably obtain it, a disinterested credible witness may identify the signer.

  • Must personally know the signer
  • May not benefit personally or financially
  • Must be personally known to the Notary or present acceptable ID
  • Must swear or affirm the signer's identity

Approval depends on the circumstances and required chain of personal knowledge. Contact scheduling before the appointment.

03

Document verification

Bring the complete document, without substantive blanks, and the notarial certificate chosen by you, the document preparer, recipient, or attorney.

  • The signer must personally appear
  • All pages must be present
  • Do not sign early when witnessing is required
  • The Notary cannot select the notarial act

Recordable public documents cannot be certified by a Texas notary. Wills, codicils, and testamentary trusts cannot be completed by Texas remote online notarization.

04

Remote online verification

RON signers complete platform credential analysis, identity proofing, and a live two-way audio/video appearance.

  • Government-issued photo ID required
  • Knowledge-based authentication may apply
  • Compatible camera, microphone, and internet required
  • The session is recorded as required by Texas law

Texas requires the online record and backup to be retained for at least five years. Platform privacy terms also apply.

No acceptable identification means no notarization. If identity, document, or technology requirements cannot be satisfied, the session ends. Deposits are not refunded for identification or document-readiness failures.

Payment, cancellation & service policies

Deposits & finality

The travel-cost estimate is due as a deposit when booking. Once the assigned Notary arrives at the location or the remote session begins, the transaction is considered commenced and applicable charges are final. The remainder is due when service concludes unless MHTx approved Net 30 terms in advance.

Cancellation & no-shows

Deposits are generally nonrefundable when cancellation occurs within 24 hours. A no-show forfeits the deposit, which is applied to the $25 no-show fee. Any unpaid portion is due as a deposit at the next booking.

How deposits are applied

Travel base fee, mileage, location surcharge, fuel surcharge, copies/printing/scanning, postage, witnesses, then notarial services. Identification or document-readiness failure does not make the deposit refundable.

Net 30 & late charges

Established clients may apply for Net 30. Balances become past due on day 31. A monthly late charge of 5% of the unpaid balance begins on day 31 and continues until current, subject to applicable law and written agreement.

Refunds, credits & disputes

Requests and disputes must be in writing; disputes are due within 30 days. Approved refunds are initiated the next business day and may take up to 14 days. They are never issued in cash. Checks mail by the second business day and may take seven business days to arrive; written pickup requests are accepted.

Refund method

Electronic payments, checks, money orders, and cash are refunded by check; ACH by EFT; cards by credit; and Net 30 accounts by balance credit. Processing depends on the bank and applicable law.

Payment methods

Online: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, Zelle, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, ACH, PayPal, Venmo, and Stripe. In person also accepts cash, money orders without change, and in-state checks with matching valid in-state photo ID.

Separate non-notarial services

Any service other than a notarial act must be scheduled, billed, paid for, and completed separately from the notary appointment—no exceptions.
